So who the heck is Jabin?

My name's Jabin (it's pronounced Jay-bin), and this is my web site.

So, where to begin? Well, how about some personal information? I live just outside Philadelphia, PA, in the lovely little town of Villanova, with my wife and two kids. I work in the health sciences publishing field for a company called Wolters Kluwer Health.

I went to Wake Forest University, home of the Demon Deacons. You may have heard of our golf team (Arnold Palmer went there, among many others), or our men's basketball team (current NBA players Tim Duncan and Chris Paul, announcer Billy Packer), or our prominent history majors (Jabin Wh--, ah, nevermind!). Our basketball team enjoys some spirited competition against fine institutions (if you like institutions) such as North Carolina and Duke. Recent years have been pretty good for WFU sports, as the football team is on a serious roll -- including an ACC championship and a trip to the Orange Bowl a few years ago, as well as 3 field hockey and 1 men's soccer national championships. All this from a school of a about 4,000 is pretty impressive, hence the expression "Proud to be a Deacon!"

I like all kinds of comedy. In fact, I sometimes annoy my wife by laughing at something she thinks is stupid (see Stooges, Three), but who doesn't? But of all the comedy out there, I think the type that really gets to me is the mature type penned by the master, Mr. Dave Barry. Perhaps you'd like to visit Dave's page at the Miami Herald?
